Pinoy Artist Makes Cartoon Avatars of ABS-CBN Ball 2018 Stars

This year's recently concluded ABS-CBN ball made a lot of fuss in social media not only because of the controversy and its opulence but mostly, because of the stars who graced the grand event and their custom and made-to-order garbs made by well-known fashion designers and labels.

The grand ball which was for the benefit of ABS-CBN's Bantay Bata Foundation, was the talk of the cyberweb for about a week. Although the reactions were mixed, it was a great opportunity to exercise the creative minds of Filipinos worldwide.

Memes are already expected to be made because DUH, memes are the internet's fuel, but there are truly unique talents that usually gets noticed in these trending and viral occurrences on the internet and one of them, who really got my attention was a Filipino artist from Twitter, Architecture student, Gerard Quizon.

His style of drawing the artists like Pixar characters is truly unique and gives the subjects almost a magical vibe. The artist who is also and animator and graphic designer also has fanarts of the now defunct Bagani series of ABS-CBN, pinoy superheroes and many more.

The likes of his art is mostly seen in modern digital artists like Jap Mikel and Squeegol. To see more of his art, you may visit his social media presence: The Art of Maku Gerad on Facebook & @markgerardjerk on Twitter and Instagram.
