Twice's 3 Year Old Song 'What Is Love?' is Trending in the Philippines

    Twice, a 9-member K-Pop girl group from South Korea is known for bop songs that could definitely be your last song syndrome. To prove that claim, just recently, their hit single 'What is Love?' is currently trending in the Philippines, in websites like Facebook, Titok and Twitter.


     The "What is Love?" trend all started when a video clip of a couple dancing to the chorus of the hit song went viral and garnered millions of views.


     All of a sudden, the song is currently blowing up on the popular music app, Tiktok, with popular Filipino "Tiktokers" like Mika Salamanca, Spencer Serafica, Doctor Gene joining in on the trend and posting their dance covers of the song as well.

      As of this writing, the soundbyte of the song's chorus has already been used over 300 thousand times on Tiktok and the phrase 'what is love' is currently on the top trending list in the Philippines.

     What Is Love? is the fifth extended play (EP) by South Korean girl group Twice. The EP was released on April 9, 2018 by JYP Entertainment and is distributed by Iriver. It includes the lead single of the same name produced by Park Jin-young.

     The song is reportedly linked to the 10th EP of Twice titled 'Taste of Love' which is the song the K-Pop girl group is currently promoting on their social media channels.

 
    Twice, commonly stylized as TWICE, is a South Korean girl group formed by JYP Entertainment. The group is composed of nine members: Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu. Twice was formed under the television program Sixteen (2015) and debuted on October 20, 2015, with the extended play (EP) The Story Begins. Twice rose to domestic fame in 2016 with their single "Cheer Up", which charted at number one on the Gaon Digital Chart, became the best-performing single of the year, and won "Song of the Year" at the Melon Music Awards and Mnet Asian Music Awards.
