Just this June 6, a Pokémon direct announced 5 new games for the Nintendo consoles. Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver, which fans have been asking for will finally be released for the Nintendo 3DS virtual console.  Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver were released in Japan on November 21, 1999, as the second set of titles in the Pokémon series.

The most awaited sequel to the recently released Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, which people were hoping and rumored to be called Pokemon Stars, has also been announced. But instead of one game, we will be getting two, just like in the sequels of Pokemon Black and Pokemon White. The new sequels will be called Pokémon Sun Ultra and Pokémon Moon Ultra which will arrive worldwide on November 4, 2017. Nothing much has been revealed about the game but Nintendo has released new forms of the legendary Pokémon in the games, Solgaleo and Lunalia which seem to look like they've combined with another legendary, Cosmog.

Lastly, Pokémon is set to make its way to the newest Nintendo console, the Nintendo switch via the highly popular Pokkén Tournament DX. That's right, the Switch has given us another reason to get the console. But not only that, the Switch version has new added features:
  • Play Pokkén anytime, anywhere on Nintendo Switch – Play Pokkén Tournament DX in TV mode, handheld mode, or share a Joy-Con controller with another Trainer to battle one-on-one in tabletop mode anywhere!
  • A brand-new fighter — Decidueye enters the battle, alongside all previous Pokémon from the Wii U and arcade versions.
  • New Support Pokémon – Litten and Popplio make their debut to lend their support in battle.
  • Team Battle mode – Pick three Pokémon and battle it out to be the first to defeat all your opponent’s Pokémon to win in the new Team Battle mode.
  • Group Match mode – Find similar skilled players in battle rooms for intense and fun battles online.
  • Daily Challenges – Complete a variety of different daily challenges.
  • Watch battle replays – Hone your skills by watching other players’ replays and share your best matches online with the new replay feature.
  • Jump straight into battle - All characters and Support Pokémon will be available right from the start of the game.
Pokkén Tournament DX for the Nintendo Switch will be available worldwide starting November 22, 2017.

Truly, Pokémon is still Nintendo's biggest title and this release just proves that. Which of the games would you get? Are you now convinced to finally get the Nintendo Switch? Leave your thoughts below in the comments section.
