Department of Tourism Philippines Launch New Brand Identity

Continuing their very successful tagline and hashtag from 2015, #ItsMoreFunInThePhilippines, DOT Philippines, now spearheaded by the newly appointed Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, gets a new identity for 2019 that is a "refreshed" version of that said campaign.

The new logo and type are inspired by Philippine local artistry such as the Filipino weaving designs and the hand-painted signs in local jeepneys, beach resorts and even barangay tarpaulins and signages.

The new sans serif typeface was made by a local designer, aptly named "Barabara", representing the "inexact, individual style" of local handpainters and a nod to the one it precedes: "Harabara".

Along with the new identity also comes a crowd-sourced campaign, which encourages locals and tourists alike, to post their photos using the new brand logo and typeface.

Be a part of the campaign by downloading the "Barabara" typeface here and the new brand logo here. Be a part of the fun and let everyone in the cyberspace know that #ItsMoreFunInThePhilippines by using the official hashtag when posting your photos.
